SUBJECT · Complete Bible Study
A celebrated city in Macedonia, and capital of that kingdom, standing upon the Thesmaic Sea. Stephen of Byzantium says that it was improved and beautified by Philip, king of Macedon, and called Thessalonica in memory of the victory that he obtained over the Thessalians. Thessalonica is rendered in the installed Bible Names resource as “victory against the Thessalians.” This unified study connects 7 installed resource categories without replacing their source records.
