Son of Cambyses the Persian, and of Mandane, daughter of Astyages, king of the Medes. At the age of thirty, Cyrus was made general of the Persian troops, and sent, at the head of thirty thousand men, to assist his uncle, Cyaxares, whom the Babylonians were preparing to attack. Cyrus is rendered in the installed Bible Names resource as “as miserable; as heir.” This unified study connects 8 installed resource categories without replacing their source records.
